Last Decade witnesses remarkable development of PVC doors and windows industry in China. In 2006, an annual output of PVC doors and windows reaches 1 billion sets, and the section of consumption was over 2 million tons. As the result, the whole industry has played an important role in China¡¯s construction and energy conservation.

Since 1996, PVC Doors & Windows Committee of Chinese Construction Metal Structures Association has convened Nation¡¯s annual meeting of PVC doors & windows successively in Chuzhou City of Anhui Province, Baoding in Hebei Province, Zhongshan City in Guangdong Province, Dalian, Jinan, Shanghai, Hangzhou and Shenyang. All these events aim to promote technology and achieve sustainable and healthy development of the industry. Starting from 2001, over the same period of the annual industrial conference, an international energy-saving PVC doors and windows exhibition has been held annually with the purpose of setting up an exchange platform for the latest technology and new products. All these help to strengthen exchanges and collaboration between domestic and foreign trade enterprises. Each exhibition covers nearly 15,000 square meters, it attracts majorities of well-known enterprises at home and abroad to gather together and exchange ideas. Hence, it has become the largest and the most influential trade exhibition in whole China.
Thanks to the state's long-term strategy of western development and accelerating the urbanization process, western region's economy has been developing rapidly, and the construction market has been in the increase. In recent years, the CPC Central Committee and the State Council propose to build more energy-saving buildings and construction of a resource-friendly society. In particular, the strategies and policies of energy-saving of buildings have been strengthened, which has brought about a rare opportunity for the development of the plastic doors and windows industry. The entire industry seizes the opportunity to give full play to the advantage of PVC doors and windows.

Xi'an is a historical city and it now serves as a key city for China's western development campaign, which outlines the Eleventh Five-Year Plan of China's western economic growth. As the result, 08¡¯ International Energy-saving PVC Doors and Windows Exhibition is to be held on March 23-25 at Xi'an Qujiang International Exhibition Center and 08¡¯ China Annual Conference of PVC Doors and Windows will tale place at the same time.
